Em & Kate met in a damp, structurally unsound audition room in 2011. Since that fateful meeting Em & Kate have worked on 7 films together; the most ambitious being "The Killings at Nurseries House", a murder-mystery horredy, written and directed by Emily and starring Katherine as... every single character in the film... at last count, we think that's around 15+ different roles. After surviving that giant undertaking Emily & Katherine conceded that it was time for them to form a film company together! What The Actual Duck??!
EM-DUCK
Emily Attwood was born with a camera in her hand. That is 100% true...She has a degree in filmmaking but has found the best way to learn is by working. She has shot dozens of short films & feature films.Coming initially from a film photography standpoint she loves to use her technical knowledge to tell anarrative in itself, from choice of lenses to absurd or subtle lighting. She collaborates closely withher actors to create a world the audience can inhabit fully. She has almost finished production on her own feature film, "The Killings at Nurseries House”, yearsworth of hard, but unbelievably joyous work, teaming with the multifaceted actress Katherine Rodden anda crew of two.Working every role from Camera Operator up to DOP and Director, Emily really has tried her hand at every role under the sun to get an understanding and empathy for team members. Emily’s set is a family whereeveryone is truly appreciated, bringing every person together to make the best film possible. Film is not just a job for her, she breathes and lives every project she helps to create; leaving a little piece of herself inside each film.(Not literally, can you imagine the permit application?!)
